Do I just continue to C or do I do something just to finish out the year? She is very advanced. At this point age-wise she should be in K, but is easily doing 1st grade work. This is even still very easy for her. Of course her brother is in 2nd grade and is finishing up C, so I do worry about them being in the same level and him feeling like he's dumb since she gets things so easily. No I don't want to switch our main program, I've found it teaches things in such a great way that it makes them both understand things so well. Also, I'm concerned that if I just continue on, is she going to be ready for higher levels of math later? I may post this on the the accelerated learner board too. Thanks for all your help.

How close is your ds to finishing C? Out of deference to him, I'd probably do some other things with her for just a little bit, unless it's going to be months and months. Do you have Primary Challenge Math by Zaccaro and the Card Games book? There are many more advanced games in the card games book she can be playing. The solitaire variations are very fun, especially if you play them with her. She could do Primary Challenge Math. She might enjoy working the SM CWP (Singapore Math Challenging Word Problems). Now is an excellent time to work on getting those math facts fast, both addition and multiplication.

I agree with Elizabeth. I'd work on word problems and the like. It will help you see where she might need some more work as well. CWP 1 and 2 are very easy but when you get to 3 she's bound to be stumped.

Ds won't be done with C until the end of this year. She's only maybe 2 weeks from being done with B. I thought about doing Singapore for the rest of the year, but I can't get a good enough look at it to make sure it's what I really want to do. I do have SWP that I'm doing with ds and I'm sure she could do it too. Maybe we will just start C slowly, doing games a couple of days/week, ds would love that, he loves the games. I have no fears that she will get stuck at this point, she's played games with him in C and seems to get it faster than him, I'm more worried about when she gets older, where do I go from here. It's not a rush to just barrel through everything and then what? Then again, I don't want to have everything just be so easy either. AHHH! Decisions, Decisions! Thanks for your input! Anymore comments will be readily accepted!

Lori, I think I might still have my Intensive Practice books. I'll look for them. Are you coming to my town this week at all? do your kids still go to the music class?

However, are we getting together this weekend? Maybe then?

Yes, I'll look for it, can't make any promises, but it seems like something I would have kept.
