Good afternoon! I teach the 4 yo Sunday School class at our church, and just got my new set of books for tomorrow. I wonder if any of you have an idea of something I can do for a craft that has to do with the Last Supper. I will not bake with these kids, LOL, so am looking for a craft of some type. No coloring pages, either, as they already have that with their booklets.
I have been online and most of what I see is a key chain craft, and a set to order through Oriental Trading (too late for that). If you have any ideas at all, I would be so appreciative.
OK - back to my search...

Maybe just a cross to decorate? I know you don't want to cook, but could you mix up some charoset? We made it this week in history. The AG has the recipe, but basically it's a couple of spoonfuls of honey, a chopped apple, about .5 cup of walnuts, a tsp or so of cinnamon and about 2 T of grape juice--put all together and stir. Serve with some matzo crackers, explaining that Jesus was celebrating Passover, and this was one of the special foods they served to remember their time in Egypt. (I don't know if you meant you didn't want to *bake* or if just combining ingredients like this would be easy for you. Everyone can add something and you can serve it on little plates with matzo, while you tell the story.) I think it's neat to eat what Jesus would have. (or something similar--there are different ways of making charoset)

We served matzah bread and purple grape juice and ate it with our shoes on standing next to the dining/snack table (the standing up part was one of the instructions given in OT re. how to celebrate passover, but I forget where). Another thing you could do is put all the matzah in a basket, and then pass it around, letting each child take or break off a piece of cracker.
We also retold the passover story.
HTH!
