This Issue’s Question
What do you think of Sonlight Curriculum?

Sonlight is a literature-based program (relying on novels, biographies, and other works of literature rather than  textbooks  to teach history and literature). Much of what Sonlight does is compatible with the classical approach.     Sonlight does not study history chronologically, as we recommend.  But a number of Sonlight users have rearranged the history readings to follow the four-year progression through history that we suggest.  Nicola Manning, owner of used book service World As We Knew It, is the original author of a wonderful list offering Sonlight readings in Well-Trained Mind order; you can find it at Sonlight/WTM Readings on her home page.

NOTE: The remainder of this review has been deleted because it evaluated the old Sonlight curriculum, which has now changed significantly!  Stay tuned for an updated review coming soon.  (Send us a note at news-subscribe@welltrainedmind.com, and we'll notify you when new reviews are posted.
